As I make my way through Mo' Money March, I am looking for FREE things to do.
Here are my top 5 :
1. The Library
In my personal blog, I dedicated an entire post to my love for the library. How can you not love a place that lets you rent books, movies, and CD's ... FOR FREE!! I especially love my library because I can place holds on items, so it's almost like a Netflix que. And yes, I do wait an incredible amount of time for new releases BUT I also don't pay for them :)
2. The Park
I'm a mom so the park is definitely something that this family does all of the time. Daily even. We play in the sand, have family races, and go down the slide over and over and over again. It's cardio and it's fun with the kids - perfect combo! Last week, we even saw an owl that the kids haven't forgotten yet :)
In this house, I always have to clean. And when I am trying to save money, I am a cleaning machine. If you are so blessed to have a maid, how about update some elements in your house that are low cost? In Arizona, we save our indoor projects for summer since it is so stinkin' hot outside. My project that I started last summer is painting my floorboards. $8 for a can of paint... and it's still not gone!
4. USE what you have
Don't go to Michael's, or Target, or JoAnn's, or even Wal Mart. No! Do something and make something with what you already have. I've seen a lot of blogger craft rooms working with SheKnows.com and I know you all have stock piles! Use it! I still have canvas and paint from my Halloween projects. What do you think I should make?
5. Random Acts of Kindness
It's been two months since I completed my 29 to 29 Random Acts of Kindness, but I am still in full force. I continue to let cars in front of me when I'm driving (regrettably) and just today, I put the phone down and shelved my priorities for quality time with the kiddos. Playing with them is not only free, it's priceless :)
