Sewing Room Update: Finished & Tired
Sunday, August 5, 2012 at 9:15 PM
It's been a long week, but I am finally back home after completing the sewing room makeover project I've been posting about for the past few weeks. In case you've missed any of the plans, here are the posts that I've shared about this project thus far:
- About this project / space layout
- The inspiration board
- Status update: Paint is up
- Finding the perfect office chair
Transforming the room was a lot of work, and my sore butt and aching back are the biggest indicators that it's time for me to get back on the Project Self wagon again. Holy smokes, I'm out of shape!
Even though I am literally exhausted, I wanted to take a few minutes to share photos of some of the finishing details in the room. I'll be posting more about this project throughout the upcoming weeks, but it's going to take me a little while to get all of my photos sorted out, edited, and uploaded in a presentable fashion. I'm trying to think of the best way to show the transformation from start to finish, but right now, the best I can do is upload a few photos.
I'm trying to dangle the carrot here.
Hopefully this gives you an idea of how the room came together and has given you that, "I can't wait to see more," feeling! But if it hasn't, perhaps I can interest you with some forecasting of upcoming posts.
As I started to upload all of the sewing room photos, I realized just how many things I yet to post about. For the sewing room makeover I'm going to share details on how we made a really cool push-pin board that also has pockets, a little trick for an easy way to hang art, a simple way to decorate push-pins, and how to coordinate accessories. Plus, of course, I will be posting about the journey of the project itself, and the final reveal.
In between all of that goodness, I'll be catching you up on some of the other things that have been going on in casa-de-Kelli, behind the scenes of the sewing room makeover.
I've got two newly-painted rooms, a new idea for a gift basket, a new floral arrangement and bed in the guest bedroom, and a new centerpiece in the breakfast nook. Plus, I've got some tips for painting like a pro.
Lots to come! Thanks for stopping by!
