Easy Placemats for any Occasion

Hello Friends!
I just wanted to share a little tutorial for a simple way to make placemats to dress up your table. I've had the idea for this project for a while now, but I was waiting patiently for a time when Mark wasn't home so that I could shoot the "How-To" video. I'm so embarrassed when I go on camera, so I knew he would give me a hard time. Haha!
It literally took me around 20 takes before I finally shot an intro clip that I was comfortable sharing online (I use the word "comfortable" hesitantly here). It's funny because you never realize the goofy things you do when you talk until you play back the film. I died laughing at some of the clips that didn't make the cut.
Hopefully this video is helpful. With summer heating up, I'm sure everyone is getting ready for BBQ's and get-togethers. These placemats are a great way to dress up your table without spending a lot of time or money. Take a look!
It was difficult to get good shots with in the video, so here are a few additional photos to give you a better idea of the finished product.
Like I mentioned in the video, you can modify this project to fit any occasion just by changing out the paper you use. I'm even thinking about testing the idea out on a table runner. Hmm...what do you think?
